Mandate/Structure

Our Mandate: 

The LMIEC engages London-Middlesex employers in the delivery of strategies that facilitate the recruitment and retention of internationally trained individuals in regional employment opportunities commensurate with international training and experience.

Our Structure: 

The LMIEC Employer Leadership Strategy (pdf) is a partnership between London-Middlesex employers (the LMIEC), representing labour market demand, and 45 London-Middlesex employment sector representatives (the ESCLM) representing labour market supply. 

The attached Organizational Chart (pdf) reflects how this Strategy bridges labour demand and labour supply in our region resulting in:

  • London-Middlesex employers leveraging international talent for the benefit of their institutions and regional economy in order to meet current and projected labour market demand.
  • Internationally trained individuals connecting with employment directly in their field/related field at a level commensurate with their experience and skill sets.

These Terms of Reference (pdf) will guide the work of the LMIEC in its implementation of the Employer Leadership Strategy.
